Summer is finally here, and talk is turning to the best places to go for a holiday. One of the easiest ways to enjoy a break is to pile into the car and head out on a road trip. A road trip across Europe can be the journey of a lifetime – explore rugged mountain landscapes, golden sandy beaches and cosmopolitan cities, all from the comfort of your own car – just make sure to check insurance restrictions.
At Seaton Tramway, start your journey at Seaton and ride inland to Colyton, one of Devon's hidden jewels, or start at Colyton and arrive at Seaton, the gateway to the Jurassic Coast.
The three-mile route runs through East Devon's glorious Axe Valley, between the coastal resort of Seaton, the small village of Colyford and the ancient town of Colyton. The journey takes half an hour from end to end. You must alight from the tram on arrival but may return on any tram thereafter. Open toppers or enclosed saloons operate according to weather conditions.
As cries of, "Are we nearly there yet?" echo across the country, we take a look at a product which could silence those bored in the back. If the children are keen on colouring in the car but you're not so keen on the mess, then the Doodle It and Go is the perfect solution.
The beautiful eight-page books come with a set of 4 ZeroDust™ Butterstix chalks; dust-free and pastel-like they glide easily on most non-porous surfaces leaving no stains, no mess and no dust. The Doodle It and Go Chalk Books are available with a choice of covers and each has a Velcro tab closure.
