Now in its 24th year, the UK’s only dedicated adventure travel exhibition brings together specialist travel companies and experts under one roof, providing leading tips, advice and once in a life-time trips for those who love to travel outside of the mainstream. The Adventure Travel Show is renowned for its inspirational travel advice, and this year is no exception. This year’s keynote speaker is polar explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes, and there are over 70 free talks from travel writers, photographers, explorers and adventurers, in-depth workshops and seminars, delivering first-hand insight and advice on destinations around the world.

Get face-to-face with 120 specialist adventure travel companies, offering small-group adventures, exclusive expeditions, solo journeys, eco and ethical trips and everything in between. There is something to suit every budget and every interest from cycling to trekking, safaris, overland trips and life-changing, volunteering projects.
 
Over 70 FREE Inspirational Talks - There are more than 70 talks from renowned explorers, industry experts, guide book writers and expedition leaders in four dedicated theatres.  In the adventure auditorium, speakers include Benedict Allen, Reza Pakravan, Julia Bradbury, wildlife film makers (BAFTA winner Sophie Darlington and camera operator Tania Estaban) photographers (Doug Allan), and climbers (Jo Bradshaw, James Forrest).  Topics range from ‘Trekking with a baby – Making Adventure Travel a Family Lifestyle’, Taking the ‘Devils Path’: Journeys to remote Tibetan Nepal’, ‘Kilimanjaro DIY – a practical guide to organising a trek to the top of Africa’s Highest Man on top of a hill - Adventure Travel ShowMountain’, ‘Cycling through the heart of Europe – from the Black Forest to the Black Sea’ and “On Conservation Safari in Zimbabwe”.
 
Specialist Seminars - Sit down face-to-face with the world’s leading experts in specialist seminars taking place alongside the exhibition, off the show floor. These include:
 
Cicerone’s cycle touring and trekking workshops which cover everything from how to make a success of a multi-day trip to preparations for global expeditions.
 
Experts from Wanderlust Magazine explain the key facets of successful travel writing, photography and film-making, ranging from how to get started to how to monetise skills.
 
Overland planner, expedition leader and author, Chris Scott, shares his know-how on how to tackle the major trans-continental overland routes. Everything from choice of vehicle (old banger or a quarter-million-pound truck?) to life on the road: navigation, borders, money, security and communications.
 
Adventure by motorcycle seminars by Austin Vince and author and adventurer Lois Pryce over a choice of two sessions, one for beginners and one for those travelling beyond Europe.
 
Seminar tickets are individually priced, from £22.50 - £30.50 when booked in advance.
 
The Adventure Travel Film Festival - On Saturday, enjoy a smorgasbord of independent adventure travel films and shorts, concluding with the evening’s main feature  ‘Going the Distance’ and a Q&A with the film’s protagonists -  husband and wife adventurers Mike and Alanna Clear. The couple spend their first three years together testing their marriage to destruction, travelling by motorcycle and sidecar from Alaska to Argentina. Their secondary mission is to discover what it takes to hold a relationship together, interviewing couples about what makes a marriage ‘work’.
