The ‘Lancashire Pub of the Year’ 2024 award has been given to The Black Horse in Preston. The well-respected CAMRA award has followed on from their win as CAMRA Central Lancashire Pub of the Year, an award which they have received two years running.
Marking a significant achievement for not only the Black Horse but also for Preston, it’s believed The Black Horse is the first pub in Preston to receive this accolade since 2001.
With a central location in Preston, the Black Horse is renowned for its charismatic atmosphere, historic architecture and commitment to offering well-kept real ales. Having become a much-loved hub for the community the pub attracts not only locals but visitors as well to experience its warm hospitality and excellent offerings.
Dan Taylor, Robinsons’ Business Partner at the Black Horse, said: "We are incredibly proud to receive such a note-worthy CAMRA award. After being our local CAMRA pub of the year for two years running, achieving the award for the whole of Lancashire is incredible. This recognition reflects the hard work of our entire team, and the wonderful support from our customers. We try really hard to create a welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy quality drinks and great company, and this award is a fantastic validation of our efforts."
Alongside the Black Horse, Dan also runs another incredible Robinsons pub, the Three Mariners in Lancaster. Another pub worth a visit!
