Escape the everyday and visit BeWILDerwood Norfolk for some much-needed silliness and giggles this summer as the park introduces a brand-new event full of happiness for the holidays.
The Silly Giggly Twiggly Party is running from the 23rd July to the 4th September and brings brand new crafts, stories and activities to the woods. So even if you’re a seasoned BeWILDerwood explorer you’ll find something new to enjoy.
Having long been a firm favourite in Norfolk, this year BeWILDerwood is celebrating 15 fabulous years of family fun and adventure. With multiple awards since opening in 2007, rave reviews and yet another Travellers Choice Award from Tripadvisor, it’s clear BeWILDerwood is a must do day out!
15 years since opening, with the development of technology, BeWILDerwood have been keen to keep their ethos the same. Instead of noisy rides and mechanics, the park continues to focus on traditional play, outdoor family fun and imagination. Given the natural woodland setting, sustainability is also a key part of what they do.
Local Author and Creator Tom Blofeld commented,
“Things inside the woodland have developed, with new adventure and events ensuring visitors experience something new each time they visit. But we’re happy to say that the nature of what we do has very much stayed the same – we want families to get away from technology, play together and enjoy the outdoors, whilst running WILD in the woods! It’s very important to us.
This summer’s event is all about being silly and giggling – we all need some fun this summer! So, we hope both locals and holiday goers will join us for this brilliant event.”
As always, the summer event is included in the ticket price, so you won’t find any pesky hidden costs once you enter the woods. You can enjoy the new story, The Silly Giggly Wiggly Party at the Storytelling Stage, before heading to the Big Hat craft tent to try your hand at crafting your very own Curious Crocklebog Crown or Tip-Top Tiara. The Face Painting Pavillion will be offering silly stars and funny flower face painting – even this is free!
There’s also a Towering Flowering Trail to complete as part of your adventure. Pick a puzzling park trail sheet up as you arrive and use the clues to help find five funny flowers growing in the woods. Discover them all and win a BeWILDerwood badge to take home.
As well as all the silly summer fun, visitors can explore the famous slippery slides, wobbly zip wires, muddled mazes and wonky wooden treehouses as many times as they wish as BeWILDerwood boasts a full day of adventure, with no limits on how long you can stay or how many times you whizz your way down the slides!
